The FlowState Marble System

Specimen board for MARBLE-SYSTEM.md — every marble below is rendered live in code with V2's own recipe (conic body, vein swirl, specular glint, rotation derived from the number). Read a marble in two beats: material = what it is, finish = what state it's in. Color is identity.

1 · The Master Marble — FlowState Logix

The umbrella, and the logo. The only spectrum body, the only contained marbles, the only marble that moves at rest. Every marble below is a simplification of this one.

FlowState Logix — the Master Marble

P-359630 · Umbrella

Spectrum body: the system's recorded palettes blended as waves, not segments. Contained marbles: five member marbles suspended in the glass (GEN white, BHOS orange, Argent amber, Kraken red, Logix green). Twin counter-rotating veils and the orbiting current ring. Below 48px it renders as a plain indigo-cyan stone — the spectrum is for full size.

2 · The Types — material tells you what it is

Company

GEN Systems · P-339715

Polished stone — the baseline. Conic body in the brand's two colors, one vein swirl, full glint. GEN is the reference: white marble, slate return, and the recorded gold vein.

Company

Business Hub OS · P-000006

Same stone, different identity — BHOS orange body, blue return. Color is the brand's own, never a house default for someone else's marble.

Project

Pegasus Surfaces · P-596059

Cut stone. A rim band in the secondary — the cut edge where the build was worked from the block — and sharper veins: facets, not clouds. Same identity, visibly manufactured.

Partner Line

Benefit Connect · P-400262

A peer's stone at full polish, wearing the solid alliance ring in its secondary. The ring is the sovereignty boundary: allied to the system, not owned by it.

PR

Person

Pete Reynolds · inside Argent Reach

Glass. The parent company's slate shows through as the solid core (face or initials live there); one personal thread in his own accent crosses the glass once. People are read through where they belong — the one thread is what's theirs alone.

Concept

Echo Systems · P-389414

Frosted, unpolished, no glint yet. The palette is in there, seen through frost — smeared swirl, washed color, dashed outline. Nothing shines on a thing that doesn't exist yet.

The Sentinel Seat

Argent Reach · P-400071

A company marble at security size plus the watch pulse — the only sanctioned motion besides the Master's. The treatment belongs to the seat (the hub that sees everything), not the brand.

15Client Projects

Group — the Vessel

Family container

Not a member — the vessel holding them. Navy glass dome, the count as its core, and up to five member colors dimmed under the wash: the container shows the light of what it contains.

?

Ghost — Unnumbered

Qi · named, not issued

The empty setting. No swirl, no color — even when the brand's colors are known. A number is identity and color is identity's clothing; a ghost is never dressed in a fake issuance.

3 · Status — one lifecycle, finish over material

Same company, same palette (Manifestic, P-317808) — only the finish changes. The lifecycle runs Concept → Prospect → Active ⇄ Inactive → Retired or Removed, and its commercial heart is one rule: Active = paying. Not paying is Inactive — the marble stays on the map with its lights off.

Active

Status · baseline

The type treatment at full finish. Nothing added, nothing dimmed.

Prospect

Status · not yet agreed

Saturation × .85 plus the dashed ring — a real, solid business whose agreement with the system isn't settled. Glint stays: the business itself shines.

Partner × Prospect

Composition proof

The dashed prospect ring renders outside the solid alliance ring — the unsettled question wraps the settled boundary, and both stay legible. Solid = settled; dashed = not yet.

Inactive

Stage · not paying

The lights off. Matte, dark, color at half strength, glint dead — but full size and still on the map. Across a crowded graph it reads instantly: every other marble shines, this one doesn't. No ring: nothing is unsettled, the relationship exists — it simply isn't paying. Payment resumes, the shine comes back.

Retired → Archive

Stage · a kept ending

Grayscale, dimmed, a size step down, glint killed — and it leaves the live graph for the Archive. Shelved exactly as it was: a retired marble is never re-colored, and its record stays whole (P-312817 is the specimen in V2).

✕

Removed

Stage · an erased presence

Not rendered at all — no marble, no gray, no ghost, no placeholder; this empty slot exists only on this board. What remains is a registry tombstone: the number (never reused), the name, the removal date, and the reason. The path for mistakes and duplicates — gone from the graph, honest in the record.

4 · The Flow — currents between marbles

Descent current

Parent → child

A 3px stream blended parent color → child color, dash-flow running downward. Flow runs from the holder to the held, never up.

Family line

Band ↔ operating child

A dashed current in the band member's primary (CHE gold, here) — kinship across tiers. Dashed because the line is belonging, not reporting.

Works-with braid

GEN × Argent — delivery partnership

Two intertwined streams, one in each partner's primary. Braiding means neither side is the parent — the partnership edge, drawn level.

Motion law: only the Master, the Sentinel pulse, and currents may move prefers-reduced-motion freezes all of it — nothing but movement is lost Marbles are pure CSS — no image assets at any count
